Really happy to receive feedback from the audience. Today I received an amazing comment from a super nice artist (he denied), but he absolutely is. No doubt that there is no perfect answer of defining an artwork, but his interpretation is truly inspiring and valuable, in order to make me think more. And I wish to re-write the description of work '⌘C ⌘V+ ', because it is not the combination between my previous two work 'Unconscious' and '⌘C ⌘V', '1+1 = 2', it is not true. Putting and re-editing two work together, not only extend the length of entire animation, also show the significance of the changes I experienced in these two years.

大頭落山 First Screening @ 18 Pitt Street... It is done...for the first show. It is not as grand as university grad show or independent film festival show, but it is truly unforgettable and meaningful. Never expect many (it's subjective) people comes, include my father, who never care/ free to know more about what I am working on it. He don't really understand/appreciate what I am doing, but still I know he is supportive (most of the time). It is really a good platform for people to gather and discuss the film. Experimental film definitely requires the audience to think actively, compared to general narrative film. It also reminds me the origin of creating motion picture is to 'show the reality', for example, The Lumiere Brothers's Arrival of a Train on 1895. The context and phenomenon of film is evolving from pure documentation to commercial, but still, the purpose of non-verbal expression is retained. Feel exhausted before arrived 18 Pitt Street, running nose, cough and sleepy conscious. It's first time to visit this place...quite nice and comfortable, where provides free 'space' for experimentation, it is really precise place for Hong Kong artist/ young people to chat, exchange idea and create art pieces. Sadly, 'money' is still the largest difficult for Hong Konger / artist / this experimental space to survival, not sure exact how it work, but it is going to close soon. Really appreciate the opportunity of screening here, not only showcase we, young people/artist's video work, also one performance work, but also significance the inevitable phenomenon of capital cosmopolitan.
Also, rise the most frequent question in my mind - 'Hong Kong, really a good place to live?' |
