THE WINDOWS ARE GOING HOME DIE FENSTER GEHEN NACH HAUSE FINESTRE CHE FUGGONO DALLE CASE Friedensreich Hunderwasser (1928-2000) Mixed media includes watercolour, egg tempera, acrylic, oil and tinfoil on canvas, primed with PV 640 mm x 910 mm Painted in Vienna, 1979 Some people say houses consist of walls. I say houses consist of windows. The windows are going home, a mixed media painting, Hundertwasser believe windows are people to him. The employment of replicated shape, transformation from house to window, from entire world to each individual, while everything is fenced, and the figurative house enters our ‘home’, later transfer to countless circle. The illumination of those little window is vivid and eye-catchy, simultaneously, the reflection of tinfoil serves as a blurry window, which stimulates the residents are the audiences themselves. A residential building, Kegelgasse 36-38, 1030 Vienna, Austria According to Hundertwasser’s ‘Window Dictatorship and Window Rights’, the resident should be allow to draw outside the wall within the dimension your arm would reach. The implication of uniqueness of each building, each window, each family, each individual. The dictatorship of window simulate the empowerment of resident, the private space of each individual whether is it deserved to be divided and indicated. The ideology of individualism reminds me the situation in Hong Kong, when the circumstance is so worse, people cannot even afford to live a house, not to mention whether the house comes with window or not, the basic living atmosphere is being concerned. Where is the paradise?Hundertwasser believes the paradise is here, just we did not notice it, ‘what does a man need in order to be happy’, ‘Progression is retrogression and becomes progression’, he induces the audience our earth is the paradise, but progression makes us neglect how simply the paradise exists. In Hunderwasser’s work, I see the paradise is deeply in our mind, all the struggles in our society, racist abuse, political disputes, social crisis, human evolves, at the same time, we go backward. Feel so relieved to live in the countryside, never ever experience this before in Hong Kong, where always full of people and building. People need spaces to live, also chill. It just feels so great to go out for a little walk, even the weather is a bit cold. Also, I really wish I could get a job, whatever is it as soon as possible. Keep the faith! Keep learning German! Nothing is impossible!
Aller Anfang ist schwer
'All beginnings are hard', but I do believe courage and spirit can make me get though this difficult time. I arrived Münster a month ago, did some sight-seeing, attraction visit, castle is very nice. Then I moved to Bad Bentheim, where is relatively far from the urban area, feel so relieved to live in this countryside. Even it takes around 10 mins to cycle to the nearest supermarket, I still enjoy this place a lot. I wish I can get a job in Lingen as soon as possible, which allows me to start building up some social networks, achievements and memories here. Really happy to receive feedback from the audience. Today I received an amazing comment from a super nice artist (he denied), but he absolutely is. No doubt that there is no perfect answer of defining an artwork, but his interpretation is truly inspiring and valuable, in order to make me think more. And I wish to re-write the description of work '⌘C ⌘V+ ', because it is not the combination between my previous two work 'Unconscious' and '⌘C ⌘V', '1+1 = 2', it is not true. Putting and re-editing two work together, not only extend the length of entire animation, also show the significance of the changes I experienced in these two years.

It is done...for the first show. It is not as grand as university grad show or independent film festival show, but it is truly unforgettable and meaningful. Never expect many (it's subjective) people comes, include my father, who never care/ free to know more about what I am working on it. He don't really understand/appreciate what I am doing, but still I know he is supportive (most of the time). It is really a good platform for people to gather and discuss the film. Experimental film definitely requires the audience to think actively, compared to general narrative film. It also reminds me the origin of creating motion picture is to 'show the reality', for example, The Lumiere Brothers's Arrival of a Train on 1895. The context and phenomenon of film is evolving from pure documentation to commercial, but still, the purpose of non-verbal expression is retained. Feel exhausted before arrived 18 Pitt Street, running nose, cough and sleepy conscious. It's first time to visit this place...quite nice and comfortable, where provides free 'space' for experimentation, it is really precise place for Hong Kong artist/ young people to chat, exchange idea and create art pieces. Sadly, 'money' is still the largest difficult for Hong Konger / artist / this experimental space to survival, not sure exact how it work, but it is going to close soon. Really appreciate the opportunity of screening here, not only showcase we, young people/artist's video work, also one performance work, but also significance the inevitable phenomenon of capital cosmopolitan.
Also, rise the most frequent question in my mind - 'Hong Kong, really a good place to live?' Curved!!! Don't know why, love the scene when we are discussing. And thanks for super talkative/annoying Jhave, really nice Poet Collier Nogues, great Unity Master and 3D animator Leoson Cheong and lovely sound designer Echo Zhao. Thanks of giving me the opportunity to get involve this amazing project :)
// Quote from my own Facebook Post // Documentation // No Language Boundary. No Cultural Difference. No Flat Screen. No Video on Macbook.
It's CURVED 5:30pm - 8:30pm / 27 June 2016 (Monday) 360 Gallery. School of Creative Media. Kowloon Tong. 360 Gallery / Developed by Jeffrey Shaw. CURVED / Major Coordinated by David Jhave Johnston. 2D Animation. Promotion. Assorted Translation / June Chu. Feel amazing to be involved, as one of the contributor to in this amazing project. CURVED is a project, first developed by David Jhave Johnston, later other artists and poets like Collier Nogues. The idea is to erase the gap between cultural differences and language boundaries. More fantastic is all video will be shown on CURVED screen with 3D stereoscopic projector and surrounded sound. If showcase artwork needs money, then probably I won't have the chance, I am broke. But I wont let money, living, those financial problem suppresses my amazing idea. Since I am honoured to be involve in Jhave, Collier and Mei Kwan's Project, they are really nice, and allow me to experiment my idea when I animatic the text. The progress of working is reflective, that's why I got a plan to make a project, which is about 'Writing & Hair'. I love automatic writing, it is a great strategy to release your unconscious mind; while hair is a part of our body, which is born naturally. Theme? Identity? Cultural Differences? Name? Chinese? English? Meaning? Surface? Deeply?
Style? Personal? Commercial? Name -> Life? Feminist? Woman Art? Medium? Natural? Organic? Artificial? Human Hair? Animal Hair? Mine? Linger? Final Product? Photography? Real Object? Organic? Erase? Show? Online platform? Real exhibition? Promotion? Friend? Online? Business Card? Photography? Competition? Seeking for other name? Research? Stefan Sagmeister? Santiago Sierra? Maria Abramovic? Ai Mei Mei? Pheobe Man? Interactivity? Communication? Experimentation? Improvisation? Another great motto from William Shakespeare. Love this motto, it's simple, but inspiring. Sometime, you got to be alone, cool down, with a piece of paper, you can write/draw whatever you want. Sort of the ideology of automatism, lets your subconscious mind to express, suppress those common sense, or logical thinking. You brain could be evolved! Oh. Time to work!
